The lithium battery should be replaced when the voltage drops to 2.7 Vdc or below. The datalogger will continue to function normally when connected to a 12 Vdc source even if the lithium battery is below 2.7 Vdc; however, after the 12 Vdc source is removed from the datalogger, there is a risk of losing data, the program, and the clock setting.
