ChargeInput and ChargeState on the CR310

mjb Jul 5, 2018 02:13 AM

Hello,

Is there a reason that the ChargeInput and ChargeState variables are not present in the Status table on the CR310, like they are on the CR6?

We have a couple of sites now that we'd like to monitor the charge input on that have 310's installed.

It was a design decision made in the CR300 series of datalogger to achieve a low price point. The CR6 has a separate processor to manage the charge circuit, and uses internal measurement channels for the input voltage and charger state.

On the CR300 series you are limited to monitoring the battery voltage. If you have analog channels available, you could use a 10 to 1 voltage divider to measure the charge source voltage.

Thanks @JDavis, that's exactly as we expected. Yep, voltage divider is the way we'll go.

Thanks!
