GPS16X-HVS / April 6, 2019 leap second issue

GaryTRoberts Apr 12, 2019 11:46 PM

Garmin released an update for the GPS16X-HVS in mid March to correct a leap second issue. This issue caused some GPS16X-HVS units to roll back to an earlier date. It is recommend for all users who are using the GPS16X-HVS to keep their datalogger time synced that they check their data. Not all GPS were affected. We are unable to get a serial number listing of the units that are affected. It is recommended that all users update their GPS units even if their units are reporting correct data and time data.

The procedure for updating the GPS16X-HVS can be found at here.

The GPS16-HVS is not affected by this issue.

Is the older GPS16 also affected by this?
