Configuring CS3000 with Cell 205

dmcairns Dec 20, 2020 08:47 PM

I am trying to configure my CS3000 with a Cell 205.

Using the Device Configuration Utility, I have followed the instructions in the Cell200 manual in section 4.1.2 (Steps 1-7).  I shut down the Device Configuration Utility, but when it is started up again, the Cellular tab does not appear (which the instructions say should happen).

The Cell205 is connected to the datalogger using the CS/IO

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The CR1000, CR800, and CR3000 datalogger models are old enough that they do not have the code space that is necessary to support CELL200 integration in the same way as the newer CR1000X and CR6 dataloggers.  I believe that the older loggers can be made to work with the CELL200 but the instructions that you read will not apply to the older, more limited models.

Look at section 6.4.2 (Non-integrated mode option) in the CELL205 manual (page 31). That should get you what you are looking for.
