Le 41003-5A, fabriqué par R. M. Young, est un abri météo à 10 ailettes naturellement ventilé. Sa construction à persiennes permet à l'air de passer librement à travers l'abri, en maintenant la sonde à la température ambiante ou à proximité de celle-ci. La couleur blanche du bouclier reflète le rayonnement solaire.

Description technique
L'abri météo 41003-5A à 10 ailettes est généralement utilisé avec un LW110 pour loger la sonde de température et HR HC2S3; La fiche hexagonale requise pour monter le HC2S3 dans le bouclier est livrée avec le capteur.
Le 41003-5A peut également abriter une sonde 43347, 107, 108, 109 ou HMP60. Le HMP45C et plusieurs autres capteurs obsolètes sont également compatibles. Reportez-vous à l'onglet Compatibilité pour le matériel nécessaire pour monter les capteurs ci-dessus dans le bouclier.
